Kettling human beings and pushing back borders is what Australian/US officials and the UNHCR call "durable solutions" ----> High-definition satellite imagery shows widespread fire-related destruction in ethnic Rohingya villages in Burma's Rakhine State, Human Rights Watch said today.

The Burmese government should immediately invite the United Nations to assist in investigating reported destruction of villages in the area.

“New satellite images not only confirm the widespread destruction of Rohingya villages but show that it was even greater than we first thought,” said Brad Adams, Asia director at Human Rights Watch.

I am not a slave: Behrouz Boochani's response to yet another Australian government/media "resettlement" LIE [The Guardian  13/11/16]:

... It’s complete injustice because they could give him result three years ago, not now.

It’s hard for me to leave this island without any justice.

What is my right as a human?

It’s hard for me to accept this option because I feel that I’m not being treated as a human. People are so happy here but some people are so sad and this is unfair.

They could do it three years ago, not now. I prefer to be in prison than leave this island without my friends, because I cannot accept injustice.

If I could accept injustice, I would have stayed in Iran.

I cannot forget my humanity, principles and values. I hope that people in Australia respect my decision.

How can I leave this prison without my friends?

I’m not the Australian government and I don’t want to be like them.

I’m not a slave that they use for their political aims.

It’s time we show people what humanity is and what human rights are.

UNHCR endorses "deal" it claims to know nothing about [Media Release - 13/11/16]:

... It is on this basis that UNHCR will endorse referrals made from Australia to the United States, on a one-off, good offices, humanitarian basis, in light of the acute humanitarian situation.

The full details of the agreement are not yet known, and UNHCR is not a party to it.  ...

UNHCR must explain why it doesn't want ALL men, women and children imprisoned on Nauru and Manus Island immediately released and genuinely resettled.

UNHCR and US officials were not present at Turnbull and Dutton's latest "announcement" - which was immediately embraced by Shorten.

US Secretary of State John Kerry has not "confirmed" anything and there is no "resettlement".

The US State Department and their asset Thomas Albrecht will possibly handpick a few refugees to disappear to the United States.

There is no choice.

In any case, one cannot make rational choices to do anything while imprisoned in a concentration camp.

Today's "announcement" is nothing but an effort to further divide and torment Australia's political prisoners on Nauru and Manus Island.

Australia's anti-refugee policy continues unchallenged.

... Mr. Albrecht’s role is to work with governments and other partners to ensure all persons of concern to UNHCR, including refugees, asylum-seekers and stateless persons, receive protection, assistance and durable solutions to their plight.
